According to a March 27, 2011, article in the Daily Mail titled "Middle-class youngsters barred from applying for internships at Whitehall and in the police... because they are white," white middle class students have been barred from applying for temporary civil service jobs at whitehall, the centre of government in the UK, and with the metropolitan police, the largest police force in Britain.
The internships, which offer applicants a chance to make thousands of pounds working during summer months, provide students with extremely useful experience for future jobs within the fields of law enforcement and government.
The decision by the civil service is just the latest in a long pattern of anti-white "positive discrimination" posturing that has developed within the structure of an increasingly Americanised political culture.
The Indigenous White Majority
In the 1950s and 60s, the British government started a policy designed to encourage mass migration from the so-called "new commonwealth" nations of the Caribbean, Asia and parts of Africa then under British colonial control.
The migrants represented a source of cheap labour to the social and political elite, but to the English working classes they were a cause for great concern in an already crowded nation still suffering in the austerity of the post-World War II years.
Since the upheavals of the 1960s, when black power and feminism became the rallying cries of the left, the indigenous white ethnic British population has faced a seemingly insurmountable set of racial and cultural hurdles placed in their way from an increasingly hostile and militant leftist elite whose political correctness, initially designed to make immigrant communities feel at home in the United Kingdom, have nevertheless begun to feel more like a form of suffocating Stalinism, in which the native population is bullied, demonised and demeaned into accepting a changing society they never asked for.
From a lack of decent and convenient housing to watching the indigenous cultural norms of the nation slowly disappear under the tidal wave of government-enforced multi-culturalism, to the banning of Christian symbols and symbols of Englishness, to workplace discrimination, the traditional British working classes have been under constant attack for decades by the very leftist and Labour-dominated local government and city councils that came into existence to ensure the rights of the traditional working classes.
Appeasing immigrant communities in the name of "multi-culturalism" and "diversity" has become the new norm in British political and cultural life. A misguided notion of obligation toward the "minority" community has been transplanted into British politics from an Americanised elite and has taken root to such an extent that one is left wondering just whose country Britain is.
Breeding Resentment
Anger against the policies of mass migration and the cultural impact it has placed on the native population is growing. Critics of the governments latest "diversity" scheme, such as Tory MP Dominic Raab, say that the program of promoting so called "ethnic minorities" is simply discrimination of white people "via the back door," according to the Daily Mail article. And there is resentment among other civil service staff.
However, a government spokesman defended the scheme, saying in the Daily Mail article, "We think the civil service should represent the people we serve and we make no apology for that."
One has to wonder which society is more beneficial for the indigenous British working classes, a more homogeneous society or one that is racially diverse?
Are they best served having their nation so racially diverse if the end result of that diversity is to be relegated to the bottom societal ladder?
And if by encouraging the migration of different races and cultures in to the UK (and other Western nations) leads to discrimination of the native majority under the guise of "serving" a diverse community, then why allow this migration in the first place? Just what is going on?
